Many golf courses are dealing with declining membership and fewer rounds played annually. The golf clubs in the Vail Valley are no exception. Recently the owners of The Club at Cordillera informed the members that they were running deficits and would address the short-falls by possibly closing one or two of the courses. In response, the property owners formed the Cordillera Transition Corporation (CTC) to represent them in the process.
The immediate priorities of the CTC Board will be dealing with the Club dues, reaching out to non-Club property owners and other key stakeholders, holding discussions with the Club owners to explore solutions fair to all stakeholders, and ensuring open communications.
The CTC decided that the property owners would be best served if members of the CTC Board understood community values, had proven experience in working as a team, and had experience with the Cordillera Club Advisory Committee (CCAC).
